Ripon Society to Hold State Policy Outreach Event with Congressman Charlie Dent

Dinner scheduled for Friday, April 27 in Allentown, PA

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Ripon Society will hold its first State Policy Outreach Event of 2007 on Friday, April 27, with a dinner featuring Congressman Charlie Dent (PA-15) in Allentown, Pennsylvania.  Congressman Dent represents Allentown and the surrounding Lehigh Valley area in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The goal of the Ripon Society’s State Policy Outreach Event series is to encourage and foster and public policy debate in cities and towns across the country.   Last year, the Ripon Society held four State Policy Outreach Events.  The next Ripon Society State Policy Outreach event is scheduled to be held on May 19th with Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite in Crystal River, Florida.

The Ripon Society is a public policy organization that was founded in 1962 and takes its name from the town where the Republican Party was born in 1854 — Ripon, Wisconsin.  One of the main goals of the Ripon Society is to promote the ideas and principles that have made the GOP — and America — great.  These ideas include keeping our nation secure, keeping taxes low and having a federal government that is smaller, smarter and more accountable to the people.
