Statement of Jim Conzelman, President & CEO of The Ripon Society, on the Passing of The Honorable Jackie Walorski

WASHINGTON, DC — The Ripon Society today released the following statement by Jim Conzelman, the President & CEO of The Ripon Society, on the passing of U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski (IN-2), who served as the House Co-Chair of The Ripon Society’s Honorary Congressional Advisory Board.

“We are shocked and saddened by this news. Jackie Walorski was a force of nature – positive, upbeat, ebullient – always putting the interests of our country first and the people she represented in Indiana. She had a servant’s heart, whether it was serving as a missionary in Romania with her husband Dean earlier in her career or serving as a Member of Congress on Capitol Hill over the past decade.

“We were honored to have her serve as the House Co-Chair of our Honorary Congressional Advisory Board in recent years, and are forever grateful for her efforts and contributions on behalf of our organization. Congress will miss her. Our country will miss her. And on behalf of the staff and membership of The Ripon Society, we mourn her passing and pay tribute to her memory on this very sad and tragic day.”
